ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants are eligible for an ECA Scholarship if they are either: (1) a high school senior or current college student pursuing a construction related secondary education, OR (2) any employee of an ECA member company (or direct family member of such an employee) who is pursuing any secondary education. Secondary education is intended to include specific self-development classes, as these scholarships are intentionally not limited to full-time student applicants.

Name: Ryan E. Powers

College: University of Southern California (Marshall School of Business)

Ultimate Career goal: Ryan plans to use his Business Degree and Civil Engineering background to develop and operate his own Civil Engineering firm.

Ryan graduated from the University of California at Davis in 2004 with a BS in Civil Engineering. While at Davis, Ryan was a member of the University's intercollegiate soccer team and earned all conference honors his senior year. After college he worked for Carlenzoli & Associates for three and a half years and afterwards at Winzler & Kelly for a year and a half before leaving to pursue my Masters degree. Ryan is a registered professional engineer in the State of California and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Ryan is an avid soccer player and Manchester United fan. He also enjoy wine tasting and traveling to foreign countries.
